One of Ozodlik’s followers informed them that school pupils in Khiva are being forced to collect money to contribute to the cotton harvest:

“The cotton harvest policy is getting worse. It is not like it was before.

Pupils from schools in the city of Khiva in the Khorezm region are forced to collect money and contribute to the cotton harvest. Even first year pupils are forced to collect 10,000 Som each.

Pupils from Feruz, Temiryazev, al-Khorazmiy and Kurbonota schools in Khiva as well as students of Khiva’s sport academy are extorted to collect 10,000 Som each”.
