Uzbekistan export of textiles amounted to $ 1.1 billion in 2016

According to the official online periodical UzDaily.uz, Uzbekistan plans to export until the end of 2016 an equivalent of more than $ 1.1 billion in textile, garment and knitwear products.

Currently, the company “Uzbekengilsanoat” exports its products to more than 50 countries, including the CIS countries, Europe, China, USA, Canada, the UAE (United Arab Emirates), and its sales territory is constantly expanding.

In the past year, new markets have been opened: Liechtenstein, Mauritania, Pakistan, Georgia, Croatia, Nigeria, and others.

In addition to that, so far there are more than 40 shopping malls of Uzbek textile enterprises abroad, which makes Uzbek producers’ work in finding foreign partners and enhance their exports more efficient.

Due to the opening of additional trading houses abroad, the plan forsees to ensure an accelerated growth of external supplies, not only for raw materials and semi-finished products, but also for finished goods with high added value.
